My PIC Prototyping board won the Hackaday Design Challenge . A big thankyou to Hackaday for running the competition, there were some great entries submitted. Please note that images on my site have been temporarily turned off due to a problem with my webhost. I am trying to get them back up ASAP. You should be able to see all the images through the link to my Gallery. Images should be working correctly now. There had also been a problem accessing anything but the frontpage which has now been fixed. Sorry for any inconvenience! Comments (2) |

Apologies for the lack of updates over the last month, I have had a lot on and haven't had time to put up some new stuff. But I have been working on an updated function generator, with a few new features and a cleaner design. This design is for a simple crystal oscillator tester. When projects that use crystals don't work, it can be caused by a non working crystal. This circuit will let you check and eliminate dead crystals from your own projects. Read More Comments (2) |

There were a few problems with my .htaccess file over the last 6 hours, meaning most of my content could not be accessed. This should now be rectified. If you still have problems accessing parts of this site, please contact me.
I've also had someone using up a lot of my bandwidth by downloading a heap of things about 4 hours ago, with many requests per second for over 30 minutes. Could the person doing please email me to explain what exactly they were doing .
I hope to have a better Function Generator board layout up in the next few days, with most of the controls mounted on the board. Stay tuned. Comments (4) |

My Hackaday entry is a PIC Microcontroller prototyping board, based on the 28 pin Microchip 18F2x5x USB enabled microcontrollers. There are three different versions - one through hole DIP and two surface mount SOIC versions. With the use of the included USB bootloader, the user can easily program the microcontroller in a few seconds via the USB port. Read More Comments (31) |
